Friendly Friends.

Emily, Ben, Graham, and I- I didn't get the memo to wear purple. :)

Every time I go home, I'm reminded of how many great friendships I have there! This last trip home,  we were able to set a few days aside for lunch dates, cupcakes, dinner dates, and ice-cream with friends.

Jamie and I (see top photo) hadn't seen each other in over two years! We met up for breakfast at the Bear Paw, and then went to a h.s. friend's funeral. It wasn't the best of circumstances but it still great to see her!

We finally were able to meet Emily and Ben, because luck would have it that we were both visiting St. George for the holidays. Blog friends turned real friends are rad! We chatted for a few hours over cupcakes (the blogger thing to do), and swapped travel stories. We're totally going to be travel pals one of these days.

One of the nights we had Sushi/Thai food with Jon and Lyndy, and we were able to chat baby names, college, and the perks of mini-vans with them (Graham seriously wants one!) We're couple friends made in heaven. No, but seriously, they set us up, which we'll owe them forever!

Jamie and I were able to meet up again for lunch with one of our long time best friends, Meagan. We were all college roommates and laughed over the funny stuff that went down in  apartment (most notable? a roommate that always stole our food! grrr!)

Afterwards, Graham and I met up with J&J for frozen yogurt, where they begged us to move back home. Their happy news they shared with us, almost had us convinced, but we're still in hanging in strong with our decision to stay in Portland. :)

Overall it was a world wind of activities and friendly faces. Unfortunately, there is never enough time to see everyone or spend ample amount of time with those we do see. This is why we're advocating for people to visit us. Days and days of quality time with us. It's a win win! :)

  13. Its nice when people can visit and just have one on one time. We've definitely had to do the 'visit everyone' bit before, which is great to see everyone, but I wouldn't classify it as a vacation lol
